A licensed psychologist for many years, Mari finally realized the irony of helping others to pursue their dreams while neglecting her own. Her acting career began in 2001 when she began training at Howard Fine Studios and advanced to the Master Class.

Mari has appeared in TheSpyAnts' productions of If Susan Smith Could Talk, The Reunion and What If (original works by company members). Other LA theatre roles include the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Rabbit Hole at The Complex, Wonder of the World at Hollywood Fight Club, Getting Out at the Lyric Hyperion and a year-and-a-half run as the woman who couldn't get no satisfaction in Sex, Relationships and Sometimes Love at the Sierra Stages. She will appear as "Bob's Mom" in TheSpyAnts' production of Charles Mee's bobrauschenbergamerica opening in January 2010.

Mari has appeared in nearly twenty films including the starring role in the award-winning Gay Bed and Breakfast of Terror, Socket, and Cessation starring Dennis Haysbert.
